What could happen to my husband?? ?

What state do you live in? I live in NY. I work for our counties Public Defender. I am not an attorney but I see things like this all the time. If he has never been in trouble before, check into an ACD (Adjourned in Contemplation of Dismissal) the time length of such is 6 mo. to a year. in that amount of time if he stays out of trouble this incident could be wiped off his record. He may still ahve to pay a fine. Make sure that pine is paid on time. Other options would be probation. This shouldn't be an issue if he is a law-abiding citizen. If he missed the court date because of negligence other than his own, his attorney should be able to work something out with that. I see all the time where our office is not told when an address is changed. That is not something that the court would have any control over. It is very important that you keep his attorney a to any changes, address, phone number anything. It is up to the DA's office to provide an offer. His attorney can make a case but he can't do anything until the DA's office has an offer, usually that can be done at a pre-trial conference. Just make sure that he does not give any statements about anything without his lawyer present. The police agencies can lie and make false promises to get confessions. Please do not let your husband fall into this trap.
