Why are religious people usually less educated?

Because most people need something in their life that they can believe in. I see it as a matter of educated people not needing that aspect in their life because they think they know everything. It is true that there are a lot of educated people out there that are not religious, but if you do some digging you'll find that there are educated religious people out there too. Religion isn't for the "gullible, weak and immature," it's for those that know there is something more out there than just education.
