Casio Ex-S5 wont let me talk any pictures with flash.?

recently, i have gotten a Casio EX-S5. For the first couple of days, it was working fine. after about a week, whenever i would turn the "auto flash" or "flash on," the "back light" (little light on the back of the camera) will keep flashing red. now, i can only take pictures WITHOUT flash.
