Trying to determine whats wrong with usb port on my laptop hp pavilion ze4600 any ideas out there?

Hey - Slow down! Doubt if soldering iron will be needed. Have you checked the boot order in the bios? Sounds like its set to boot from USB first. Go into the bios and change the boot order to HDD first.
